St Marys Books

All volumes are bound in full tan leather with green and burgundy title bands to the spines, possibly re-backed. All show some rubbing and wear especially to the extremities and spines. Internally there is a little cracking of the hinge to volumes seven and eight however all volumes are tightly bound. The pages are generally clean throughout although slightly toned with the occasional spot of foxing predominately to the prelims.  Previous owners' small neat signature to the top of one of the front blank pages with the shadow of a coat of arms on the same page. Neat pencil annotation to page xxii to volume one. Frontispiece portrait of Niccolo Machiavelli to volume one, fold-out plan to volume four, and fold-out facsimile letter to volume eight.
