The illustrated edition of this historical work by John Richard Green. Beautifully bound in half burgundy leather with burgundy marbled paper-covered boards. The leather does show some wear with a little loss to the corners. The spine has gilt tooling in between five raised bands and two burgundy title bands with a little loss to the raised bands. Despite wear to the leather, the binding is sound and overall in good condition. All edges of the text block and endpapers are marbled. Internally the binding is tight and despite foxing throughout especially to the prelims the pages are generally clean and beautifully illustrated. This set is heavy and may incur extra postal charges.
