Issued in The Theatre of the Empore of Great Britaine, this original John Speed Map of Lincolnshire, hand coloured with the English text to the verso, A very good example of this iconic of all the English maps, originally housed in the Atlas by Speed. the map shows the town plan of Lincoln, with the famous coats of arms on the left-hand side of the map, and a very small hole to the bottom left of the map, which can only be seen if viewed under the light. The Original map is mounted and ready to frame. 39 cm x 52 cm. Printed by Thomas Snodham. A very good example of Lincolnshire.
