First Edition Hard Back. Dust jacket has small closed tears to the extremities with a piece missing along the top edge and corner of the front cover. Slight discolouration to the rear and fading to the spine. Not price clipped. Original green cloth boards with light fading to the extremities otherwise in good condition. Top edge of the text block coloured red and slightly faded while the fore-edge remains free of any marks. Pages very lightly toned although very clean throughout. pp. 212. Overall a good copy. Published in 1950 after George Orwell's death.
