Hardback, 1948 reprint. Dustjacket with an illustrated front cover with wear and closed tears to the extremities, a small piece missing to the top of the spine, and the base of the front cover. Not price clipped. This is a post-war economy dustjacket with printing on the reverse. Green cloth boards with some fading and a slight lean to the spine. A blank label is attached to the front free end-paper covering a previous owners' inscription or signature. Slight discolouration to pages 9, 10 and 11 otherwise the rest of the pages are clean throughout, with six illustrations by Alfred Sindall. pp. 256. Overall a good copy. A story from the 1914-18 war, when Biggles was still a Captain in the Royal Flying Corps.
