Hardback. Beautifully bound in rich burgundy leather with blind embossed detail to the boards, gilt titles, and decoration to the spine. In very good condition with just a little wear to the corners and to the top and base of the spine. The top edge of the text block is gilt and is still bright while the fore edge remains free of any marks. Internally the binding is tight. Pictorial endpapers show no toning or inscriptions. Pages appear unread with no marks, foxing or inscriptions and are beautifully illustrated by A. Jules Goodman. pp. 780. Overall a lovely copy. Would make an ideal gift.
