The illustrated paper covered boards with black spine are overall in good condition despite some discoloration along the fore-edge and base of the front board as well as a little fading. All edges of the text-block are free of any marks. Decorative endpapers with no inscriptions or bookplates. The pages are lovely and clean throughout and beautifully illustrated. pp. 216. Overall a good copy. Using the extensive documentation of his work, Alan Powers has re-examined how Ravilious developed in each of his fields, watercolour, wood engraving, mural painting and decorated ceramics.
