First Edition Hardback. Half bound in rich burgundy leather with blue marble paper-covered boards with the original front cover bound in. The leather does show some wear with a little loss to the corners. Internally the binding is tight. There is foxing to the endpapers, prelims and towards the rear however the pages are generally clean. Inserted into the front endpapers is an almost transparent piece of paper with Samuel Sharp's signature, a small coat of arms and a poem. Illustrated with two folding plates. Numeric pencil marks to the front free endpaper. pp. 50. Overall a good copy of a scarce title.
