Stories included are; A Christmas Carol, The Cricket On The Hearth, The Chimes. Beautifully bound in rich brown suede with gorgeous decorative embossed detail to the front. In good condition, despite a little curling to the corners, light sunning to the spine however the suede is generally clean and bright and shows minimal wear. The top edge of the text block is gilt and is still fairly bright. The grey endpapers show no previous owner marks or bookplates, while the binding is still fairly tight despite light cracking to the internal hinge. The pages are clean throughout with the text to each page within an ornate decorative border, illustrated with full page colour frontispiece. pp. 142. Overall a lovely copy with an unusual binding.
