A beautiful Folio Society set housed in a special slipcase. Bordered in gold, the case is durable and depicts an intricate colour map of Narnia on both sides. Each book is bound in emerald cloth blocked with a bright gilded crest by David Eccles. Gilded spines show a lovely dynamic ribbon design. still very bright. Pages are clean and sharp with illustrations by Pauline Baynes. Occasional minor foxing to the textblocks. Textured cream endpapers make up a nice detail. Slipcase has some slight wear and scuffing to the edges, but colour has not dulled. Overall very good. A must-have set for fans of Lewis' classic.
