A comprehensive history of the Eastern Counties. A two volume set bound in rich brown cloth with decorative embossed detail to the front and gilt titles to the spines. Both volumes are in good condition despite a little rubbing and wear especially to volume two. Decorative endpapers with previous owners' signature to the front free endpaper, pencil notation to the prelims and pen notation to the rear. The pages are generally clean despite foxing to the prelims and towards the rear, beautifully illustrated with plates to the front. Volume I, pp. viii + 608. Volume II, pp. xiv 624. Overall an informative set.
