In good condition with the cloth bright and clean, however, there is slight fading to the spine. The front endpapers are slightly discoloured with previous owner's signature in pencil to the front free endpaper. The prelims and towards the rear are foxed with the half title page partly detached. The frontispiece tissue guard has a closed tear to the base. The rest of the pages are clean despite the occasional spot of foxing. Beautfully illustrated with several colour plates and monochrome line drawings. pp. 512. A beautiful copy.
