Hardback. First Edition Copy bound in half burgundy leather with five raised bands and black title band to the spine. The leather shows a little wear with fading to the cloth sides. The text block is quite firm although pages 519 to 522 including the plate are partly detached. Previous owner's signature to the verso of the frontispiece. The rest of the pages are quite clean despite some foxing, especially to the plates. pp. xvi + 625. Overall a good copy.
