Bound with red cloth covered boards, title in gilt to both volumes' spines, with minor shelf wear to corners. Dustjackets intact, large rips have been mended with sellotape by previous owner which has toned over time, with some shelf wear to top edges and spines but otherwise good. Binding tight on both volumes. Endpapers of Vol. I are maps of the Lake District and Grasmere specifically, with Dove Cottage, where endpapers of Vol. II are maps of Switzerland and Scotland from the same period. Previous owner has written on dustjacket inner flaps in both volumes, as well as leaving some inscriptions to otherwise empty pages and title pages in both vols. Vol. I pp. xxviii + 443 . Vol. II pp. viii + 434. Overall a brilliant set in good condition.
