A beautiful edition specially produced by The Arcadia Press and bound by Zaehnsdorf of London. A limited edition of only 265 copies of which numbers 251-265 are not for sale. This copy is number 137 and signed by the author without dedication. Bound in rich green leather with factory detail inlaid in colour leather to the front. Small tan leather title band and gilt titles to the spine. All edges are gilt with green marbled endpapers. The pages are beautifully clean and profusely illustrated. Housed in a grey clamshell case which is in good condition despite the title band missing and a little wear along the top edge of the spine. pp. 302. A sympathic and revealing study of Dickens' world beautifully rebound in a stunning Zaehnsdorf binding.
