A lovely hardback clothbound edition of Kenneth Grahame's "The Wind in the Willows", housed in a charming pictoral dustjacket illustrated by Ernest H. Shepherd. Underneath the dustjacket, one finds beautiful brown and green ink etchings of willow leaves and forest creatures on the books beige cloth binding. Inside the book, one is met with a beautifully illustrated map in green ink, which adds to the sense of whimsy and helps to situate the reader within the world of the characters. This book has 320 pages of text, with charming black ink illustrations throughout. Other than some minor tears and discolouration to the dustjacket, and some foxing, the book itself is in great condition. This book is looking for a new home, and would make for a lovely gift for any fans of Kenneth Grahame's work.
