Edition: First
Published By: John Murray
This lovely hardback edition of Sir David Brewster's 1833 "Letters on Natural Magic addressed to Sir Walter Scott" is bound in a brown cloth with black ink lettering to the spine and cover. Inside, one finds 351 pages of text which are not only magical instructions, but contemporary ideas about the human body and how it relates to the exercise and study of magic - to hold this book is to hold a slice of history in your hands. This book is in fair condition - though the inside remains clean and relatively fresh, there is signiciant damage to the spine, and the front board is loose. This book is looking for a new home, and would be the perfect gift for any collector.
