Hardback complete with a pictorial dust jacket. Underneath lie black cloth boards with titles in silver to the front and spine. The pages are profusely illustrated with many black and white photographic images. Overall a very good copy. The dust jacket shows a little wear with a small piece missing to the rear corner. Minor bumping to the corners and spine of the cloth boards otherwise the binding is showing very little other wear. The pages within appear unread. With the publication of this volume, the collaboration of writer Lucius Beebe and photographer Charles Clegg ends in a blaze of glory. They have completed the most comprehensive picture survey of American railraod travel ever undertaken by historians in the field.
