Hardback. First Edition. The sixth book in Andrew Lang's "Rainbow Fairy Book" series, collating together thirty five fairy tales from all over the world. A handsome copy bound in grey cloth with gilt fairy pictorial detail to the front, gilt titles and vignette to the spine. The binding presents well despite a little discolouration. The spine had darkened over time with light shelf wear to the top and base as well as having a slight lean. All edges are bright gilt with the text block still fairly tight. There is a small piece missing from the corners to pages 367, 369 and 373. The pages are very lightly toned although clean throughout. Beautifully illustrated by H.J. Ford. pp. xii + 387. Stories included in this volume include, The Magician's Horse, The Little Gray Man, The Bear, The Sunchild, The Twin Brothers, A Fairy's Blunder with many more.
