'Even longer,' Pooh answered” A handsome four volume set, with each volume bound in coloured cloth with gilt pictorial to the front, and gilt titles to the spines. Winnie The Pooh Sixth Edition, published 1928, The House At Pooh Corner, First Edition published 1928, When We Very Young, Sixteenth edition published 1927, Now We Are Six Second Edition, published 1927. The binding to the House at Pooh Corner is particuarly bright with just slight fading to the spine. The binding to When We Were Very Young and Now We are Six, shows minor surface wear, however clean with the gilt still bright. Winnie The Pooh shows a little more surface wear to the front board and has a slight lean to the spine. All spines show a little shelf wear. There is a previous owner's signature to one of the prelims to all four books, although the rest of the pages are very clean throughout with no foxing or any further inscriptions. Beautifully illustrated throughout by Ernest H. Shepard. A beautiful set, an ideal gift for any friend of Pooh.
