Hardback. A beautiful copy, scarce in this edition. Bound in burgundy cloth with pictorial paper onlay and gilt titles to the front. Top edge gilt while the fore-edge remains untrimmed. Illustrated with several colour plates and maps. A very good copy with the front board clean and bright although with a faded spine and rear board. Previous owner's signature dated January 1914 to the front free endpaper. There is a small piece of the corner missing to page 211. The rest of the pages are clean and in good condition. pp. 213. Overall a charming copy.
