Hardback. A special autographed edition of this beautifully illustrated book on Lakeland Hills. Limited to only 250 copies of which this is number 172. Bound in yellow cloth with green title band to the front and spine. The binding shows very little wear although lightly toned to the extremities and spine while the title band is lightly worn. The top edge of the text block is bright gilt. The tissue guard to the frontispiece is partly detached. There is an inscription to the half title page dated 1939. The rest of the pages are very clean and illustrated by the author with several colour and monochrome plates. pp. xvi + 126. Overall a superb copy. An ideal gift idea.
