This lovely hardback edition of "The Letters of J. R. R. Tolkein" edited by Humphrey Carpenter is now in the possession of St Mary's Books. Housed in a charming brown dustjacket with Tolkein's signature in gold gilt, this brown clothbound hardback book features gold gilt lettering to the spine. Inside, one finds 463 pages of text complete with indicies, with extracts from personal and professional correspondence Tolkein wrote throughout his lifetime. Through this wonderful book, one is able to have a greater appreciation for, and gain a deeper insight into Tolkein's truly great mind. This book is in very good condition, though there is some bumping to the dustjacket, the book itself appears virtually unread. This edition is looking for a new home, and would be the perfect gift for any collectors or Tolkein enthusiasts.
