This lovely edition of "The Motor Car Red Book 1916 Containing a List of Motor Cars and Light Cars Manufactured or Sold in the United Kingdom 1910-1916" by W. C. Bersey and W. V. Foucard is now in the possession of St Mary's Books. This edition marks the 6th year of issue of the Motor Car Red Book, and features, for the first time, a list of "Motor Cycles, Commercial Motor Vehicles, Marine Motors, and Aircraft. Compiled by the Staff of the Technical Publishing Company, Ltd. Also, The Trade Index of the Motor and Allied Industries". This hardback book is bound in a bright red cloth and features stunning gold gilt lettering to the cover and spine. Inside, one finds 227 pages of text (including indicies) which primarily features tables of information. This book is in fair to good condition - the gilt is faded, the corners are bumped, the spine is faded and there is staining to the boards, however the inside remains clean and readable, with only some slight bleeding of red dye to the corners of the free endpapers to note. This book is looking for a new home, and would make for a perfect gift for any historical motor car enthusiast.
