This lovely 1988 revised edition of "Steel Chariots in the Desert: The Story of an Armoured-Car Driver with the Duke of Westminster in Libya and in Arabia with T. E. Lawrence" by S. C. Rolls is now in the possession of St Mary's Books. Beneath the charming blue dustjacket which features a black and white photograph of Rolls chaufferring T. E. Lawrence, this hardback book is bound in navy mock leather with gold gilt lettering to its spine. Inside, one finds 286 pages of text, supplemented with some black and white photographs and maps, detailing the wartime escapades of S. C. Rolls as an armoured car driver. This book is in very good condition - though there are some slight bumps to the dustjacket, the book itself has no notable imperfections. This book is looking for a new home, and would be the perfect gift for the military history enthusiast, or the Rolls-Royce fan.
