This lovely 1948 reprint of "Spitfire Parade" by Captain W. E. Johns, part of the "Biggles in War-Time" series, is now in the possession of St Mary's Books. Beneath the charming teal and yellow dustjacket featuring a black and white illustration of "Biggles" by Radcliffe Wilson, this hardback book is bound in bright crimson cloth with black ink lettering to its spine. Inside, one finds 256 pages of text, supplemented by full page black ink illustrations. This book is in good condition - though there is some bumping and wear to the dustjacket, which can be described as good to fair, the interior of the book remains clean and readable, remarkable given its age. This book is looking for a new home, and would be the perfect gift for a "Biggles" enthusiast.
