This lovely 1949 first edition of "Specials" by John Bolster has come into the possession of St Mary's Books. Beneath the charming butter yellow dustjacket featuring a black and white photograph of a man racing a "Special", this hardback book is bound in an orange cloth with black ink lettering to its spine. Inside, one finds 170 pages of text, supplemented by black and white photographs, including the charming image on the frontispiece of "WASP", "SPIDER", and "GNAT". This book is in very good condition, though there are some small stains and tears to the dustjacket, which can thus only be described as fair to good, the book itself is in excellent condition, with few notable imperfections. This book is looking for a new home, and would make for a wonderful gift.
