Hardback. First Edition. A handsome copy bound in full navy cloth with gilt titles and pictorial to the front and spine. The autobiography of Charles Jarrott, a prominent British racing driver and businessman. Illustrated throughout with photographic plates. Jarrott was not only one of the founding members of the Automobile Association but also competed in the Gordon Bennett cup races of 1903 and 1904 and won the coveted 1902 Circuit des Ardennes. A very good copy despite a little wear to the cloth, a small split along the front outer hinge, and bumping to the corners. The text block is tight, and although there is scattered foxing, the pages are generally clean. Colour frontispiece with a facsimile signature to the base and folding speed chart to the rear. pp. 297. A fascinating book, ideal for any motoring enthusiast.
