Bound in green mock leather with gold gilt lettering and decorations, and housed in a charming illustrated dustjacket featuring Alf Francis by Mrs A. Francis. Inside, one finds 336 pages of text, supplemented with black and white photographs, detailing Alf Francis' insight into the hardships, hopes, and disappointments of a life as a racing mechanic. This book is in good condition, and apart from a small inscription to the free endpaper it is otherwise clean and readable, though the dustjacket has been damaged and later repaired and thus can only be described as fair. This book is looking for a new home and would make for a lovely gift.
