This lovely 1946 first edition of "Speed Camera: The Amateur Photography of Motor Racing" by E. S. Tompkins is now in the possession of St Mary's Books. Beneath the original dustjacket, featurign a photograph of E. Lloyd-Jones at Prescott, this hardback book is bound in a lovely beige cloth with black ink lettering to its spine. Inside, one finds i-viii and 100 pages of text, including 56 photographs by the author himself, and details how to use ones camera to the best advantage. This book is in good condition, though the dustjacket can only be described as fair a it is slightly bumped and torn, the book itself, other than some slight foxing to the edges, is clean and readable. This book would make for a lovely gift, and it is now looking for a new home.
