St Mary's Books is proud to present this 1937 early edition of "Biggles Flies West" by Captain W. E. Johns. Bound in a charming orange cloth with brown ink lettering and illustrations to the cover and spine, this hardback book has 255 pages of text. Inside, one finds a tale of heroism and adventure, supplemented with full-page black ink illustrations by Howard Leigh and Alfred Sindall, as well as a full-colour frontispiece, "Biggles fought it back to even keel, andthen put the nose down in a dive that was not far short of vertical". This book is in fair to good condition - the covers are bumped and worn, the spine is weak, and there is some slight foxing throughout the book. However, this item is nevertheless in a remarkable condition given its age and rarity. This book is looking for a new home, and would make for the perfect gift for any Biggles enthusiasts.
