This hardback book is bound in grey cloth, with intricate red ink and gold gilt illustrations on the cover and spine, such as the silhouette of Leningrad on the cover, and the red star pattern on the spine. Inside, one finds beautifully presented title pages in English and in Russian Cyrillic script, followed by portraits of Stalin and another Soviet leader. After which, one is treated to 224 pages of Russian Cyrillic text, supplemented by stunning black ink and full colour illustrations, recalling the battle for Leningrad from multiple perspectives. This wonderful slice of history is in very good condition - other than some minor stains and some bumping to the cover, the book is in remarkably good condition considering its age and rarity, with few other noticeable blemishes. "Fight for Leningrad: Pilots" is looking for a new home, and would make for the perfect gift for any Soviet historian, aviation enthusiast, or art lover.
