Edition: First Edition

Published By: Sampson Low, Marston & Co., Ltd.

Hardback. Being the Seventh Year of Publication of Fred T. Janes' influential aviation yearbook, this one published in 1916. Edited and Compiled by C.G. Grey. Part A. Aeroplanes and Airships Of The World. Part B. Historical Aeroplanes Of The Last Fourteen Years. Part C. All The World's Aero-Engines. A significant historical annual that documents the rapid acceleration of aviation technology during the early years of World War One. Bound in navy cloth with silver lettering to the front and spine. There is a little lifting of the cloth to the front and rear with minor edge bumping, otherwise the binding presents well. There is some creasing to the front free end-paper with foxing along the top edge. The rest of the pages remain clean and the text block tight. There are adverts to a large portion of the prelims. Overall a good copy of a scarce title. A must for any aviation enthusiast.
