Hardback. First Edition, 1933. With an inscription from Francis Chichester to the title page. illustrated with several black and white plates, including frontispiece and a folding plan to the rear. Complete with a worn and faded dust jacket with chipping to the top and base of the spine. Underneath lie discoloured green cloth boards with fading and a slight lean to the spine. The pages within are clean and the text block is tight with no loose pages. pp. 314. Sir Francis Chichester rarely gave his autograph except to friends, this copy was in the possession of Mr Price, an ex RAF Flying instructor and a friend of Sir Francis. A memoir documenting a solo flight across the Tasman Sea from New Zealand to Australia in a modified De Havilland Gipsy Moth seaplane, named Madam Elijah.
