Hardback. A third edition of Beirne Lay's autobiographical account of his experiences as a Flying Cadet in the U.S. Army Air Corps in the 1930's. Complete with a large inscription signed by the author to the front free endpaper, dated June 9, 1937. Complete with a dust jacket this copy is in good condition despite wear and small pieces missing to the dust jacket. There is some paper repair underneath the dust jacket. The blue cloth boards are in good condition although lightly bumped to the edges with fading to the spine. Pictorial endpapers. The pages are toned although very clean throughout. Illustrated with several black and white photographic plates. pp. xi + 350. A scarce signed copy.
