Hardback. A First Edition copy with an inscription from the author, dated 1935, to the front free endpaper. Flying Girl was originally published in German as "Alleinflug Mein Leben" and translated or documented as Flying Girl. It is the autobiographical account of Elly Beinhorn, a pioneering German aviator who became a national hero in the 1930's. This First Edition signed copy in English is quite rare with no other copies available. Handsomely bound in red cloth with titles in yellow to the front and spine. Illustrated with a frontispiece portrait of the author together with several more photographic plates. Overall a very good copy with just a little fading to the spine. The text block is tight and although there is light foxing to the rear endpapers, the pages are very clean. pp. 256. A lovely addition to any aviation collection.
