Hardback. First Edition. A firsthand account of operations flying against Turkish and German aviators in Mesopotamia and Iran in the First World War. With a small inscription from the author to the front free endpaper. A handsome copy bound in rich green cloth with titles in black to the front and spine. Illustrated with a black and white photographic frontispiece and several more photographic images throughout together with a folding map of Mesopotamia. Overall a very good copy with the binding presenting well with only slight fading to the spine. Internally there is a small bookplate to the front paste-down, the rest of the pages are clean despite toning and the very occasional spot of foxing. pp. x + 289 + 2. A scarce title with the signature of the author.
