Hardback. Historical documentation of the Royal Naval Air Service during World War 1, functioning as the standard technical guide for the production, storage, and handling of hydrogen for airships, and kite balloons. This copy is bound in navy cloth with titles in white to the front and spine. Small neat ink inscription dated 1916 to the front free endpaper and hand written pen notation to the verso, headed "Cost of Production". Pen inscription dated 24/5/16 to the rear. Overall a very good copy with the binding in very good condition despite fading and creasing to the spine. There is slight foxing throughout, however the pages are generally very clean. pp. 113. Illustrated with many diagrams with some folding and a few coloured. A fascinating volume.
