Hardback. First Edition. A delightful book which vividly brings to life a magical summer holiday for children and their ponies in the glorious unspoilt countryside of Exmoor before the war. This first edition copy is complete with a pictorial dust jacket. Underneath lie red cloth boards while the text is enhanced by the illustrations of Pamela Whitlock. Overall a good copy despite wear to the dust jacket. There is a slight lean to the spine with a little bumping to the top and base. The binding however, is clean and shows very little wear. There is scattered foxing throughout although the pages are quite clean. pp. 351. Overall a good copy.
