Aviation in Peace and War

Sir F. H. Sykes

Published By: Edward Arnold & Co.

St Mary's Books is proud to present this 1922 early edition of "Aviation in Peace and War" by Sir F. H. Sykes G. B. E., K. C. B, C. M. G., Late Chief of the Air Staff and Controller-General of Civil Aviation. Housed in its original cream dustjacket with navy ink lettering, this hardback book is bound in blue cloth with navy ink lettering to the cover and spine. Inside, one finds 139 pages of text describing the history of aviation, its usages in war, and predictions for its future. This copy, and its original dustjacket, are in good condition - the dustjacket is torn and bumped, and there is some offsetting to the front free endpapers and some foxing throughout - however the text remains readable, remarkably so given the age and rarity of the copy. "Aviation in Peace and War" is looking for a new home, and would make for a perfect gift for any aviation enthusiast.
