An informative and interesting memoir documenting the steeple-chasing, hunting and other sporting feats of Sir Claude Champion de Crespigny, edited by George A. B. Dewar and with a preface by the author's acquaintance, the Duke of Beaufort. This copy has relevent newspaper articles about Sir Claude de Crespigny pasted into the front endpapers. This lovely edition is bound in green cloth with gilt lettering on the spine. Overall, it is in very good condition with clean and bright pages all throughout. There are some subtle marks to the covers and a closed tear to the bottom edge of the spine. This book would be appreciated by anyone, young or old, with an interest in field sports. pp. 371.
