Handsomely bound in the publisher's original green cloth with simple gilt illustration and titles to the front and spine. Illustrated front and rear endpapers with numerous black and white line drawings within the text, together with colour plates each with its tissue guards. Overall a very good copy with the binding presenting well despite light bumping and discolouration to the boards, and fading to the spine. The pages are clean despite the occasional spot of foxing and a neat signature to the front free endpaper. pp. xxix + 224. Stories include; The Goose That Laid The Golden Eggs, The Wolf And The Lamb, The Lion And The Mouse and many many more.
