A Third Edition, including An Addendum and information about the new association of the 384th Bomardment Group (Heavy) which was part of the famous Eighth Air Force of the United States Army Air Corp of World War II. Handsomely bound in burgundy cloth with bright gilt titles and pictorial to the front. Internally there are pictorial endpapers and an illustration to each chapter heading as well as several photographic images. Overall a very good copy with the binding clean and showing very little wear. There is a neat signature and date to the front endpapers otherwise the pages appear unread. An intimate and anecdotal chronicle of the 384th Bomb Group's operations from 1943 to 1945. Based at Grafton Underwood, the Unit flew B-17's in the Eighth Air Force, enduring high losses while supporting major campaigns like The Battle of the Bulge.
