Hardback. A 1965, First Edition Copy complete with an unclipped dust jacket in very good condition. Underneath lie grey cloth boards with light fading to the spine and a blemish to the front. The pages are clean although the author or possibly someone else has fixed photographs and images of the pilots and aircraft from the author's life, to the front free endpapers and very occasionally throughout. There is also the odd pencil notation to the margins of the text. pp. 272. The whole inspiring story of British flying achievement compressed into the space of one man's experience. A fascinating copy.
