Jean Potter tell for the first time the life of flight of airmen like Carl Ben Eielson, Joe Crosson, Bob Reeve and the world's craziest pilot Archie Ferguson. Her book is illustrated with photographs from the pilots' personal albums. This copy, although complete with it's dust jacket, it is worn with pieces missing. The blue cloth boards underneath, however, are in good condition. The pages are very clean throughout. pp. xiv + 261. Overall a fascinating account of the Alaskan pioneer pilots who "flew by the seat of their pants".
