Hardback. A 1935 First Edition copy of Ernst Sorge' account of the 1932 Universal- Dr Fanck expedition to West Greenland, which filmed the movies S.O.S. Eisberg and North Pole Ahoy. Sorge, a scientific adviser, provides details on navigating glaciers, icebergs, and filming, with many blue tinted photographs. This copy is bound in blue cloth with bright gilt titles to the spine. The binding is in a good clean condition and shows just minor bumping to the corners and light fading to the spine. Internally the pages are very clean. pp. 255 + 16. Part of a huge collection of aviation acquired by St Marys Books.
