The author is responsible for the design and construction of the R. 100 the full story of which is given with many exclusive photographs. The unclipped dust jacket shows a little edge wear with closed tears to the spine, however rare to find with a dust jacket. Underneath lie blue cloth boards which are in excellent condition. There is the very occasional spot of foxing to the pages although they are generally very clean. Illustrated with several photographic images. pp. xxiii + 356. This book promotes the development of rigid airships, like the R100 which Burney helped to build, for long distance imperial travel over, faster shorter-range airplanes.
