Hardback. A 1958 First Edition copy of Ian Fleming's Dr No. This copy is complete with it's original unclipped dust jacket and features the earliest binding design of a dancing lady to the upper board. The dust jacket with a design by Pat Marriott, shows minor wear to the top and base of the spine, as well as the corners, although in near pristine condition. The cloth boards underneath with titles in silver to the spine and the dancing lady in silhouette to the front are in very good condition. There is a slight lean to the spine. Minor toning to the front endpapers otherwise the pages are very clean throughout. pp. 256. The first Bond novel to be adapted for the cinema. Starring Sean Connery, the film established the iconic theme music and opening gun barrel sequence used throughout the film franchise.
