Hardback. A 1957 First Edition copy, complete with a pictorial dust jacket. This one is signed, not only by Colin Hodgkinson, but Douglas Bader, Air Vice-Marshall Johnnie Johnson, Air Commodore Pete Brothers, and World War Two fighter pilots Geoffrey Wellum and Tom Gleave. All signatures have been written on card and pasted onto the front free endpaper. The dust jacket has faded and shows some edge wear. While underneath lie blue cloth boards with light fading to the extremities and spine, although showing very little wear. The pages are clean and illustrated with several black and white photographic plates. pp. 255. Best Foot Forward is the autobiography of Colin Hodgkinson, the only other pilot besides Douglas Bader to fly operationally for the RAF during World War II after losing two legs.
