Royal Air Force Technical Notes Aeroplanes A-L & M-Z Two Volumes

Edition: First Edition

Published By: Air Ministry

Royal Air Force Technical Notes Aeroplanes is a rare two volume set of instructional manuals produced by the Air Ministry around 1918. These volumes provided comprehensive technical and rigging information for the various aircraft used during the early years of the RAF. Volume 1 A-L, covers aircraft such as The Avro 504, The Bristol Fighter (F2a/F2b), De Havilland (Nos 4, 6, 9), and Handley Page Type 100. Volume 2 M-Z includes the Martinsyde Scout, Maurice Farman (Longhorn/Shorthorn) Nieuport Scout S.E. 5a and various Sopwith models. Both volumes bound in the original paper covers with metal fasteners. Overall in good condition despite worn and discoloured covers, and a little foxing and pencil notation to the pages. The AWFK 8 page is missing to volume 1. There are two additional little pamphlets included, Nieuport 130 H.P. Clerget and Technical Notes Handley Page. The second volume has been covered in a clear adhesive wrap. These are considered extremely scarce surviving documents of early military aviation history.
